Need to Know
Contact FPIS, Inc. prior to printing for space availability, advice, content and design approval.
Regardless of who produces your brochure - FPIS, Inc., an agency, or your printer – be sure it is compatible with our requirements of the specifications:
Is it the right SIZE?
FPIS, Inc. requires that a brochure be no larger than 4 x 9 inches, and no smaller than
3 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches.
Is it the right WEIGHT?
You can buy cheaper paper, but a minimum of 70 lb. coated stock for multi-fold brochures and 67 lb. vellum bristol for rack cards should be considered. In either case the grain must run vertically (long grain) to stand upright. Remember, to be seen, your brochure must stand upright and maintain its appearance.
Is it DESIGNED properly?
FPIS, Inc. utilizes a brochure display for distribution - the top three inches is the space to convince a potential client to select your brochure. Remember, you can produce the world’s greatest brochure, but if you can’t gain their interest in the top three inches, your brochure will not be successful.
Is the brochure DATED or coded?
Over a period of time, you may produce the same brochure with minor changes. Be sure to date or mark the brochure to avoid problems later.
How MANY brochures should you print?
This is a matter for you and the distributor to discuss, in order to arrive at a quantity that is not too small, but won’t leave you holding material forever.
Shipment planning: Printed brochures will need to arrive at select area warehouses. Each case must NOT exceed 40 lbs. and brochures must be banded. Identify each case with your name, quantity, date and version. Each shipping label must be marked for INSIDE delivery only, no one to sign.
Once the paperwork is complete, and the brochures received by FPIS, Inc., our wheels are set in motion for your campaign. Stay in touch with your distributor – the problems you solve together will provide great rewards for the both of you.
